This SMC cable has become an essential part of my kit. I use it with my Yaesu FT60 and Walker electronic earmuffs, and the connection has been flawless. The audio comes through loud and clear, and the 3.5mm port works great when I need to hook up to external speakers in my truck. The why behind Tigrett Outdoors

I have been in e-commerce for over 20 years in various industries. Recently going back to school at Liberty University with a major in business, I learned some new techniques for a successful business and was anxious to put it to the test. While at Liberty I was looking for a product exactly like our SMC cable for personal use. I couldn’t believe no one made one that fit exactly what I wanted in a cable for connecting a Baofeng radio to electronic earmuffs. The idea seemed solid, and although I didn’t do much market research, I began developing the project with our manufacturing partners. With a few samples that were failures, we finally had what I felt was a winning product. It has been well-received by shooting enthusiasts, ham radio operators, and the tactical community.

A great tool for out

"A great tool for out on the range or in a noisy environments. Ear pro with comms is super expensive and this is a great way to cheapen it up to use with existing ear protection. Mic quality was good for receiver and I did not have any issues hearing. Mic is built into the main part of this cable. All components seemed well built. Happy with item!"

Used it for a bit

"Used it for a bit with impact sport. Folks on the other end could hear me, mic quality was good. The PTT button is very clicky, so you know you are activating it. There is a small clip so you can clip it to your plate carrier or chest rig. I am not sure if I trust the strength of the clip, for hard use. May need to zip tie it. Removing a star because you could purchase two Baofengs for the price of this PTT. For this price, I would prefer to have a PTT with a built-in speaker and the 3.5mm jack for hiking up to ear pro."

Synopsis: Quality seems fine, worked

"Synopsis: Quality seems fine, worked with no problems but wouldn't mind seeing it be a bit more robust for the money. Not a bargain, but an acceptable price for value. Initial impressions: All parts were received and no manufacturing defects noted. I did note the wires are a bit thin and build quality is about the same as the Baofeng stuff. Kinda cheap, but does work as intended. Use: I installed on a Crye JPC 1.0 (size large) and had plenty of cable with radio located on a forward cummerbund position. The plug fit Walker's ear pro with no problems. The sound quality was acceptable but a little "tinny". Not a huge deal as it was still clear. Not sure about long term durability, but if you take care of it I'd expect it's as durable as Baofeng products."

This Tigrett PTT turns your

"This Tigrett PTT turns your Walker Razor into a full PTT Headset to use with your two way radios. You don't need batteries in the Walkers for the Walkie Talkie side to work either as the batteries are only for the Razors headphone mic. One thing I noticed is the Walkers Razor is very sensitive on volume when you're all hooked up. I almost have my radio volume all the way down. A quarter turn and the audio in my ears is plenty loud! Not to mention, I listen to everything loud due to poor hearing from listening to music loud over the last 30years. The Tigrett kit comes with the main corded PTT part and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm coiled cord that plugs into the headset. It's a nice feature they made it to have a detachable 3.5mm cord incase you want to run something shorter or whatever works best for you. The audio quality is ok. That's no fault of Tigrett but rather Walkers Razor having bad audio quality. Being able to use this if you already have the Razors saves you a bunch of money over buying a complete two way radio headset. Maybe some newer type ear protectors like these are available that will work with this kit and offer better sound quality. But this works just fine in the meantime. I recommend this item."

The Tigrett Outdoors SMC (Shoot,

"The Tigrett Outdoors SMC (Shoot, move, communicate as they call it) is a miniature all-in-one PTT system that links to most earpro with a 3.5mm jack to provide your friends screaming at you directly to your eardrums. Paired with a Baofeng UV-5R or just about any other kenwood style PTT jack radio, you can really get some decent use out of this. The vocal clarity on the transmit side is fairly impressive, and more impressive is the clarity of the receiving side - transmissions were very clear and easy to understand, and I even clicked over to the FM radio at one point and found myself thinking 'wow, I could actually happily sit and listen to this.' (if only there was anything worth listening to on FM radio) Anywho, I'm pretty sold on this. I don't think it's the best solution there is, but it's definitely one of the best. The distance you can have the microphone on the PTT from your mouth is also pretty good - I'd hope it is, considering most people don't tape it to their mouth (that'd be weird.) My one gripe with this thing stems from the size of the transmit button. MAKE IT BIGGER! Hard thing to hit under duress or with gloves. One other slight thing - the cable seems a little thin? I've never actually had the cable itself go on any comms equipment like this, but it does tick at the back of my mind a little looking at it. Time'll tell. Anyway, I recommend."

My first one of these

"My first one of these had a minor issue, so i contacted customer support and found the Tigrett website. The OWNER of the company gave me his number to call and issued me a replacement immediately. The replacement is in the mail right now so i will update my review once it gets here. What i can say for sure right now that this has been the best customer service I’ve received through a company BY FAR. Edit 1 - i got my 2 new ones in the mail today (customer service is incredible) and so far I’m in love with these things. I’m literally about to order one for every guy in my group who runs a baeofeng and walkers. THESE ARE AWESOME. Sound quality is great, the small form factor is PHENOMENAL. Check out some of my pics for how minimal and clean you can mount the PTT to a chest rig/pack/plate carrier etc. i love that the ptt is small enough to not be accidentally hit when moving around in gear but still perfect size to grab without looking. The Velcro version is my favorite since it’s even lower profile and absolute quality Velcro that is not going to come undone on its own. I could just clip it to the loop side of velcro on my rigs and that is secure, but it’s also just small enough to feed under webbing and elastic loops etc that are all over shoulder straps. This is it you guys. Get one of these, a uv-5r, and some walkers. The owner is awesome and believes in this product. I’m a firm convert now. This is twice as good and half the price of the next best competitor. BUY THESE. Cons: none so far Gonna test it out in a couple weeks for a shoot move communicate class (aptly the same name as this product lol) and we expect some light rain/weather. Everything feels robust and well made quality components. They have a Daniel defense level customer service too. Will update as i use it more. These things are amazing!!!"

Works like a charm

"Purchased another brand PTT type system, it arrived late, didn't fit, had to send it back, got new one and it never worked perfectly, my SMC cable arrived two days early, fit my radio perfectly and works like a charm."
